💼 Role Overview
We’re seeking mission-aligned clinicians to join our growing team.
Hours: 15–20 clinical hrs per week + supervision/admin as required
Modality: Hybrid — in-person (Walnut Creek / Pleasanton, 2 days per week min) + telehealth
Populations: Individuals, teens, couples, families (group experience a plus)
Start: Immediate — steady referrals ready to book
🔹 Position Type & Compensation
Status: W-2 Non-Exempt Hourly Employee
Compensation: Variable rates depending on your charged sessions
Schedule: Set weekly schedule — paid for actual hours worked and recorded
Benefits: Eligibility per company policy (discussed during interview)
Employment Status Clause: As a W-2 non-exempt employee, you will be paid for hours actually worked and recorded. Overtime is compensated according to federal and California law. Time spent in required meetings, supervision, and training is paid time.
🩺 Key Responsibilities
Provide individual and couples therapy using CBT, ACT, and relational/attachment frameworks
Maintain timely documentation (e.g., notes by end of day; referral responses within 24 hours)
Collaborate with Pivot colleagues to ensure continuity of care
Contribute to our clinical community through feedback, training, and innovation
Optional: Lead/co-lead groups (Pivot Care Groups, ADHD Skills, Resilience Club etc.) or supervise associates (if licensed)

🎯 Minimum Qualifications
Licensed Therapist: PsyD, PhD, or EdD (licensed in CA) OR
Psychological Associate: Doctorate from APA-accredited program and registered as a CA Psychological Associate
Strong clinical references from supervisors
Experience with individual adults, youth, couples, and families through evidence-based modalities
Cultural competence and humility in serving diverse populations
Proficiency with electronic records and telehealth systems

🤝 Supervision & Reporting
Psychological Associates: Supervised by Dr. Timothy Yen, Licensed Clinical Psychologist (CEO) or assigned licensed supervisor.
Licensed Therapists: Report to Dr. Yen and may serve as supervisors for associates if desired.
